Definitions
"Organisers" — the joint collaboration between Commercium Africa LTD and AfaraEd, the coordinating parties of the EmpowerED events.
"The Platform" — the official EmpowerED website and any registration portals or mobile applications used to facilitate the Event.
"Exhibitors" — representatives of universities, institutions, or companies assigned a presence at an EmpowerED event.
"Registrants" — individuals who have signed up for an event but have not yet been checked-in.
"Attendees" — individuals who have been checked-in to attend the event in person or virtually.
"Space" — the physical or virtual area where an EmpowerED event is taking place.
Event Layout and Access
The Organisers reserve the right to alter the layout, location, or format (physical to virtual) of the Space at any time. The Organisers shall be entitled to allot alternative Space for the Event as determined necessary for the safety or success of the program.
Risks and Insurance
All personal property or exhibition materials brought into the venue by Registrants, Attendees, or Exhibitors shall be at their own risk. The Organisers shall not be responsible for any loss, damage, or destruction regardless of the cause.
Exhibitors agree to indemnify and keep indemnified the Organisers against any actions, liabilities, costs, or claims arising from their presence or omissions within the Event premises.
Attendance Data
Exhibitors will have access only to the data of Attendees whose badges or profiles they have specifically scanned or interacted with at their stand. The Organisers will have complete access to all data submitted by Exhibitors, Registrants, and Attendees for administrative and promotional purposes, governed by our Privacy Policy.
Fees and Payment
Free Attendance: EmpowerED events are generally free for Registrants (including students, parents, agents, school administrators, and education stakeholders).
Any specific Event requiring a fee will have that fee clearly stated on the relevant landing pages and official banners. It is the responsibility of the Registrant to verify any payment requirements before completing registration.
Right of Admission and Exclusion
The Organisers reserve the right to exclude or remove any person whose presence is deemed undesirable or disruptive to the Event. This right may be exercised even if the person is an agent of an Exhibitor.
Exhibits and Quality Control
All materials on display by Exhibitors must be of high quality, properly labeled, and in full compliance with the rules of the venue and the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Media Waiver
Please Note: By registering for or attending an EmpowerED event, you grant the Organisers permission to use photographs or video footage of you taken during the event for promotional purposes.
This includes, but is not limited to, use in social media, marketing videos, and website content.
Notices and Contact
Any notice or legal document to be given under these Terms & Conditions should be submitted to the Organisers via the official Contact Form located on the EmpowerED website. Our Privacy Team will review and respond to inquiries submitted through this channel.
